I'm just plain out of ideas and don't know where to look right now. Too much time planning all those *other* details and now I'm just out of energy. My wedding is a sort of a woodland theme... the guests will be seated for a formal dinner, but only tables will be assigned. The plan for the placecard table is to be a moss-covered piece with the placecards set into them using some sort of skewer or skinny-pointy-thing. I'm stuck at trying to decide what to do with the design of the placecards themselves. The colors are shades of green (sage-ish tones), browns (from chocolate to acorn), and accents of cream. The flowers will be mostly woodland foliage - ferns and mosses and such. Anyone seen anything that could work well with that sort of plan? Then I have to think about how I want to do the table numbers. My florist suggested finding some 3x5 or 4x6 wooden frames for them (or something larger with a 'floating' picture area). I just can't seem to find that sort of frame online for a reasonable price. Someone reassure me that I'll get this figured out in the next two months... please? |

How about little topiaries to 'spell out' the numbers on the tables. Or vines shaped like numbers. Also, not everything has to be in theme... you could just use your colors to print out simple cards and have the number is the same colors in picture frames with a pretty border on the table...

Relax................... You will get this figured out in the next two months, I promise. I really think that it would be fine to just use regular placecards and table numbers. How many frames do you want? And what are you looking to spend? I'll see if I can find anything. Don't worry!

I'm looking for 14 frames, 3x5 or 4x6... the cheaper, the better, really, as the focus is on the arrangements (I hope!). Relax? What's that?! ;)

Go to a dollar store. As far as placecards. It would be cool to get leaf shaped ones.

I was just at a Dollar Tree the other day buying seashells for my beach wedding and right across the aisle they had a million pic frames in all sizes for...you guessed it $1. Some of them were pretty nice looking. I would go over and check it out if I were you. Why waste money when you don't have to in that respect? Nobody is going to know (unless you tell them) the frames came from the dollar store. Good luck and it will all work itself out :) ****I love him and would accept a twist tie from him, but damnit, twist ties just don't sparkle :)**** |

Yeah, the dollar store was what I was going to suggest for the frames. Ikea also has 3/$1.99, but I don't know if there's an Ikea near you. And for the placecards, maybe a design with acorns or ferns on it? You could get a rubber stamp and make a whole bunch pretty fast. They have a nice selection of stamps here: http://www.perfectpartystore.com/more-party-supplies-rubber-stamps-floral-rubber-stamps.html but you can also usually find a good selection at any craft store.

Thanks for the suggestions! It's weird, but there really aren't any dollar stores where I'm currently living. I'm going back to Ohio to get my dress fitted next week, so I'll definitely check out the dollar stores there. Funny how the smallest details are messing me up right now... I've managed to get everything else planned but those little details are driving me nuts!
