That is exactly the one that i have been leaving subtle hints about. i just haven't seen it in person and wonder what it looks like from a side angle. how wide are you planning on making your band?

We haven't started working on the setting yet. I'm still in the process of picking out the center stone. But, I'm always looking for the side angle of rings and the prongs. I'd like to have pave on all three sides and on the prongs. I don't know how wide it will be yet. I'd like to keep it dainty and build it up with stacked rings.

Did you ever happen to find any side view pictures of that ring, or any others that will be helpful to you in recreating the ring? If so I would love to see them! It looks gorgeous in the one that is already posted!

I have yet to see this very difficult to track down ring, but here are a few more photos. i think that i might attempt a recreation because i don't like the plain metal bit that shows from the side angle. it looks very rectangular. ![]()

Hmmm....the basket? Or would it be the gallery? The style reminds me of firegoddess's pear a bit...

Does anyone else think that the christopher designs ring is a bit chunk in the the "basket" area. i've seen so many others posted that were more delicate, prettier. plus, in doing some pricing the CD ring costs commands a "premium" price because of the name.

Oh, my gosh! That sapphire is beautiful. That's a dream ring if I ever saw one.

Date: 9/6/2005 4:13:16 PM Author: lovelylulu Does anyone else think that the christopher designs ring is a bit chunk in the the 'basket' area. Maybe... and it would prevent bands from sitting flush to the shankanyway. Actually, look atRitany rings - you can get away with nothing under the stone and thin bands sitting flush. For the same band-fitting sake, the four wires pegged to the corners of the diamond's frame could meet in one point or around a very small 'ring'. The function of that unsightly and pesky piece is to keep the ring from spinning or tilting - but there are other ways around that (say, euro shank, or just a good size fit if the stone is not huge). There are some rings at Dirt Cheap Diamonds that look sort of close. take a look if not done already. Ana "The greatest experts are only as good as the sum total of what they have seen."
