Nope - not eye clean. That one is a beauty in person except for the big black inclusion which doesn't seem so bad in the photos. In person it looks more like an SI2. I looked at it about 9 months ago.

Oh boy. I can't resist a cushion post! It looks lik a really pretty cushion... Only thing is, it's so not a "modern cushion" (not that that would be the basis for rejecting it) The "modern cushion" facet pattern looks like this. And they have at least very good and excellent symmetry and polish. The name "cushion brilliant" doesn't make it "modern".... BUT AGAIN, that doesn't mean it's not a beautiful stone... ![]() ______________________________ Stewart says: I'm good enough. I'm smart enough. And doggon'it, people like me. |

LOL. But does it matter if you love this one???? ![]() Cushion Brilliant is just the name on the cert. My modern is a "cushion brilliant" and so is the one you posted! There is no official "modern cushion" but vendors around here throw it around and so do I. SO does DBOF. For ex, check out GOG's cushion page. That's a modern pcitured. They write "modern cushion" under it. Long and skinny. I posted one above. They don't go into it in their tutorial and don't show the GIA facet plot. It looks just like the square H&A facet plot. I mean, those are stock images, but I think we can all agree that that's on the GIA plots. (check out diamondbrokeroffl.com to see some and GOG has a list of them) Nice ice has a good write up on them too. WHen we say modern, we don't mean non-antiques. They are just reg ol cushions BUT cut to perfection! And mostly with excellent or vg polish and symmetry...That's why they are modern b/c they aren't cut like a lot of the old ones....which some people like too...they can all be beautiful! I know which one I like better The ones I see online have depth in the low to mid 60s and tables in the mid to high 50s. They have ex polish and symmetry and small or no culets! p.s. Be warned! :) They are a lot more expensive. It's like the super ideal cut v. ok or good cut. ______________________________ Stewart says: I'm good enough. I'm smart enough.
