My fiancee is in love with this setting but I'm not sure if it is secure enough for the diamond. Any thoughts? http://www.whitneyboin.com/pages/rsing/r2.html

I sold a mounting like that a couple years ago. It is very safe. The prongs are kind of large and they hold the diamond against an under-bezel. There is a ring underneath the diamond that it rest against. It is the tension between the prongs and this bezel that hold the diamond securely in place. Cheers, |
