Well - I figured since I was asking advice on proposing in another forum, I'd tell a bit about where I got my g/f's ring. After shopping around in a whirlwind after shopping online (just wasn't comfortable) I went to a pretty upscale mall. I had no intention of buying a ring at the mall, but thought it would do me some good to see some up close and in person, and just listen to all the sales garble... So - after 8 stores, which all rather sucked, were way overpriced or had no selection, I disheartenly stopped into a final store, Christian Bernard. Almost immediately, I knew I'd buy a ring here. The pure selection of settings is what made my decision easy. I was looking for something "antique-y" and delicate. THey spent about 2 hours with me and showed me whatever I wanted, compared settings for me, and answered all my questions with patience. THey even wrote down the model numbers in case I decided to come back so I wouldn't have to start all over again. Saturday morning I decided to go and bite the bullet, thinking of no better time to propose than our pending trip to Vegas (next thurs!). I picked out a 14k white gold ring, with .5k of diamonds on the side of the large diamond, in two small ones, and then cascading diamonds down the shank. To top it off, I got a .65k VS2 diamond of H color. I think I got an excellent deal, and they even threw in some extras to lower the price. I would definately suggest this jeweler, if not merely for their terrific selection, then for the customer service! A ++++ celo626 - I'll post pics soon! |

Yes,you need to post pics!! I'm glad that everything worked out for you! It sounds like you had a real positive experience, which unfortunately, not everyone has when they go ring shopping . But you went with a B&M and had a great time, that is very awesome!!
