how do you know the best way to size a micro pave eternity ring? since it will almost impossible to resize after, i want to get it right the first time. My old engagement ring was a 4 1/2 and then it was sized down a drop - i'm pretty sure it went to 4 1/4. My jewler suggested to make this ring 4 3/8 - right inbetween the 4 1/4 and 4 1/2. Does that sound right? I read somewhere once that when the diamonds go all around the band you should size up a little bit. Is this true? thanks! bbb |

i wear a 3 1/2 and my eternity band is a 3 1/2 plus. We added the plus for just a little more room if necessary. Do your fingers swell? also, many have discovered when wearing 2 bands next to each other they feel tight. I think mara had her rings sized up 1/4 b/c they became too tight when she started wearing her wedding band with her e-ring. what your jeweler suggested is just about what I did

thanks- i am not wearing in on the same hand as my wedding band, but the extra room will probably help anyway

My ring size is 3.5 and my original 2mm plain platinum e-ring w/ plain 3.5mm plat wedding band were 3.5. My hands swell easily but even during humid summer "puffy"days the rings felt pretty comfy. When I got my 10th anniversary new set (diamond eternity set, bands are just under 2mm wide) I got both in a size 4. They just felt more snug to begin with, not sure why... I find them really comfortable. But then I like for my rings to spin on my finger just a bit. When it was still cool they would spin but now that it's muggy and 90-ish, they are snug-- but not at all tight. If I had gone with my actual ring size, I'd be unhappy I think. HTH!

My actual ring size is a 5, but I went with a 5 1/4 for my 3 sided pave ring. It does spin a bit, but when it gets hot it fits without being too tight. It would really make me panic if it was so tight I had a hard time getting it off.
