If their is anyone who would like to give info on pricing in cdn/american dollars, specs on depth etc.. I was hoping for a 1 carat not sure if we can afford it though. Your help woul be greatly appreciated. We are getting married in September. Lbrunette

Just out of curiosity, why do you have to go through a local dealer? It seems if he doesn't know what you want, you may be dealing with a frustrating situation...

Asscher's are a different breed and I'd want a dealer that knew a lot about them. Why must you go locally??

I'm going to agree that you should make sure to purchase from a knowledgable dealer. Sometimes, in a trade in situation- there's so much of a difference in the price of the new item you're buying ( between an aggressive seller, and an overpirced one) that completely negates the value of the trade in, if the seller is overpirced. Perhaps you can have your trade go towards your setting and/or wedding-bands? I agree that I woudn't want a jeweler unfamiliar w/ asschers finding one for me--they are tricky little buggers.

Is the appraisal of $18,000.00 US or Canadian dollars? What type of diamond are you selling?

Yes can you give us the specs on the stone you are selling. I would hate to see you loose so much money.
