I would like to get some comments on the following diamond. Also, how much of an effect does the ring setting have on the diamond itself or is this purely a matter of personal preference? Thank you. Measurement: 6.33 - 6.42 x 4.01 Carat weight: 1.01 Cut: Ideal Color: E Clarity: SI1 Depth%: 62.9% Table%: 57% Crown Height%: 13 Pavilion Depth% 45 Symmetry: Very Good Polish: Very Good Girdle: Medium Culet: None Fluorescence: None Grading by EGL Am I better off looking for grading done by GIA? |

For one, anyone who puts the label 'Ideal' on this stone, is wrong. The diameter of the stone is way too small, the girdle too thick, the total depth too deep, and so on. On the other hand, if you have it graded by GIA, they do not even grade proportions or cut. Live long, Paul Slegers |

the average diameter of a 1 carat round is 6.5mm. the stone you posted is 6.3 whichs means you will be paying for a 1 carat stone but it will look smaller than a one carat stone.

i know everybody has their own "ideal cut specs" but, here's what i would like to see on paper.i would still like to see the stone before the purchase. with all the measurements in a very tight range not more than .3' and .3% variance it is always harder to find a "mind clean" stone than a eye clean stone. |
