I'm bumping this--I'm not an expert myself, so maybe others can join in. Do you have the rest of the #s and a photo in addition to the idealscope?

Do you have the regular photo? If so post it please. There is one part that should be red that is black but just a slight tilt will cause that. In the regular photos it is easier to tell what is going on. Right now i cant tell if its a miscut or tilt. What is the crown height? ........... The center pattern is a little off. Looks like they miscut one of the steps on the one side. it is pretty good otherwise. I think it would be worth while having WF talk it over with you on the phone on how eye visible the miscut is. Ask them how conentric and even the squares look in person. Brian John or Bob should be able to help you out with that. ........... Karl has joined the diamond trade and is now posting as Karl_K |

Strmrdr, I am trying to learn as much as I can about asschers. Is the problem that you see with this stone occuring on the right side of the stone??? ____________________________ |

Is the problem that you see with this stone occuring on the right side of the stone??? yes it looks like one step is cut at a slightly different angle than the others. Its not tilt because the ends of the upper and lower squares would be off. But it is giving atleast partial return so might be ok in person. There is some minor miscutting near the cutlet also but I dont think that will be eye visible at all. Overall its pretty nice and worth considering. Sad thing is that the vast majority of them are total dogs and this one is far from being one. ........... Karl has joined the diamond trade and is now posting as Karl_K |
