Russian cut - H, VS1, Princess, 1.498, Gia Certed stone - Can anyone shed any light on Russian cut? Is this worth more than a non-russian cut? Is it considered a better than average cut? I will have GIA paperwork tomorrow with specs... I'm simply looking for general information.

Chuck, "Russian Cut" is a term means (in general) a very fine make. Although properly used only for stones which have been cut in Russia, it is often generically used in the trade for non-Russian stones which have fine makes. Either way, if the term is a proper one for your stone, it should be stunning. Rich, GG Sarasota Gemological Laboratory Rich, Independent GG Appraiser |
