Hi there,

can any experts share their views between AGS triple 0 cut and a Lazare ideal cut? i have to pay more for a Lazare rather than a AGS 000, is that the way it should be??

can someone out there please enlighten on which is the better cut, sorry hyper-newbie here!! THANKS!!!

AGS0 has rather broad range but you can find AGS0 diamond with specific proportions that will make not less beautiful at all.

See AGS Ideal Cut page from tutorial.

You can use the Cut Adviser to check your candidates.

Lazar diamonds were the first branded ideal cut diamonds and they are very nice but you can easily find not less beautiful stones in the internet for much less $$.

Thanks Leonid,

would like to know also , that if a AGS000 and a Laare has the same specifications : 4Cs table width....etc would mean that the 2 diamonds are essentially the same??

the diff in pricing would just be due to the branding of the diamond??

yes T that is possible, but then the brand can also add genuine value if you wish to sell the diamond.

Either way be sure to get the proportions of either stone and do a HCA because there are better and worse stones from either source.
