I have read tons of info on the round cut. I've added new words to my vocab such as crown pavilion depth table girdle etc. After all that reading I have decided to go with the oval cut. What should I be looking for in a qualitiy oval? what are the dimensions? Do i need a higher color and or clarity then the round. My budget is 3000.00 for the stone. PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!

hi- i am also looking for an oval. the best "worksheet" i found was from www.gemappraisers.com/chrt2.htm that gives you the best direction for what you should be looking for in each class of stone. i've been doing simple pricescope searches with these and have been able to find some really nice stones. good luck!
