megster Rough Rock Total Posts: 8 Last Post: 5/9/2005 Member Since: 5/7/2005	Last year I saw an advert for an engagement ring but neglected to write down the maker of it. I am hoping that if I describe it maybe someone will know who makes it. It is a solitaire diamond set in a solid, cone shaped bezel- instead of being set in 4 prongs, (much like a flatened scoop of ice cream in a cone), and the sides of the ring bridge up near the top of the bezel. I believe the setting to be platinum or white gold. Does this ring sound at all familiar?

Wise Goldsmiths ... they cite the name of one designer who uses this come bezel allot (and very gracefully): William Richey. There are more versions of that setting by him, including all platinum. You may want to look up his work at other online galleries as well.
