We got home late last night, and I jumped on the computer as soon as I could. The gorgeous and firey RB is from Mark Turnowski of EngagementRingsDirect.com who is a god-send and a wonderful man to work with- I would recommend him to anyone!!! We had it appraised by Chris DiCamillo at Dave Atlas' Accredited Gem Appraisers (AGA). Chris is fantastic to work with- great communications, wonderful personality, and a super-star Gemologist! The Stone: .96 ct G Color SI 1 (absolutely impossible to see the inclusions with the naked eye, and I have a hard time even with the loupe) GIA Laser Inscribed 6.43 x 6.38 x 3.86mm Modern Cut, closed culet Medium faceted girdle 33.1 Crown Angle, 13.8% crown height 60.3% depth, 57.6% table, 43.2% pavillion depth Excellent Polish and Symetry AGA Cut Class: 1B, American Ideal Cut. Slight Blue Fluorescence HCA= .8, Excellent within TIC range The Setting: A. Jaffe Platinum 10 shared prong set diamonds (.20 ctw), 5 on each side. Size: 5 The prongs need to be tweaked a bit as they don't seem exactly even to me, but the stone is secure for now until I get it to the jeweler.

It's been a bit overcast today, so I'm still working on getting better pics, but I'll post more as soon as I can... if I won't bore you to death Rita, your rings were an inspiration to me, and they helped me fall in love with the setting... thanks for all of your great pictures! We would like to get one of the matching bands initially and then maybe add on a second one for a future anniversary. I really liike how your set looks. If we can afford it, I'll be happy just starting with one band.

I have to say that I have short fingers and have decided that I like the look of only 1 wedding band with my e-ring much more than with the 2 bands, and that's usually what I wear. With both bands, my centerstone starts to shrink and the whole combo looks a little too bulky. So I think 1 band for you will be great. You can always get an extra band later and then mix and match. I really also like the 2 pointer stones, because the width of each band is just right to me...not too fat and not too skinny. Give us more hand shots please! Rita

PSers are the best!! The stone is set fairly high (probably around 7mm from my finger) although it looks a bit higher in the side picture I posted above. The height has not bothered me at all so far, and I think it makes the stone stand out more. I haven't hit it on anything so far (knock on wood), but I do have to readjust when I'm tucking the sheets into the foot of the bed by the foot board- just might have to get my fi to make the bed from now on hee hee. Teebee: yours and Mara's were also some of the many fabulous rings that inspired me! Rita: thanks for the feedback on the 2 bands. Do you ever wear one on your right hand? I too love the width of the band with the 2 pointers. I'm definitely working on some hand pics, so I'll get them up ASAP. Thanks again to everyone for the lovely feedback!
