For all the asscher lovers...check out the Georgia Diamond Company, and Toby Rhinehart designs. My soon to be fiance had a custom one designed for me, and I am awaiting the ring! Here's a pic of one of my faves...and yes, they do have asschers smaller than  5 ct! Here is a pic off their website...drool...

Since it is an art deco repro, I was going to get the matching band that fit flush w/it but then I would always have to wear them as a set....I am a social worker and not always in the greatest areas so sometimes I know I will just want to wear my w-ring...so I am having a custom eternity band w/the "wheat pattern" engraved on the underneath to match my e-rings wheat patterned and diamond band

FG,

Do you happen to know the address for Daniel K's website?
I LOVE this ring. I WANT this ring~
I used to want a simple Asscher solitaire, but the more I see pave and halo style rings- I want one.
Thanks!

This will get you there. They have such pretty rings-- but I have never heard of them and I thought I had seen or heard about  most jewelry stores in Atlanta! I think they only sell to retail?

Here is the website: http://www.georgiadiamond.com

In the Washington DC metro area: www.ascotdiamonds.com

If you are truly interested in a Toby Rhinehart piece, or buying one of their diamonds, fill out the "contact"  page and wait to hear back from them and see what they can do for you. There are a few locations in the country where you can work directly w/ a person from GDC , but they also sell their pieces out of other retail outlets.  However, we went into their location in Arlington, Virginia, and the Toby Rhinehart pieces are even more beautiful in person. They do wonderful custom work, and are very honest and easy to work with.  Now I just have to  wait for him to "pop" the question :)  My soon-to-be FI says the ring is back and it is gorgeous... he also let it slip that it's over a 2 ct. asscher, w/ a total 2.8 total carat weight ring,  pave setting.  I promise to post pics after he proposes!!!!!!! so excited!!!

Widget -' icky old hand' nothing! That's fab!! The size is perfect, you can really see the cut. Lovely.

Layla, stunning, congrats to you!

I'll see if I can post mine. I am such a techno pigmy (allthough that could be viewed as racist perhaps. So I should say technologically challenged!)

I'm a huuuuuge fan of DCD's new micropave line for Asschers.  Just look at that basket . . . to my eye, it's the perfect amalgamation of art deco and modern.  Yum!

Ooooh Lauren, you may have helped me out there. The micro pave round they have there, the smaller of the tcw, seems pretty close to the Ritani. Now I just have to see photos of both to check out the difference. I'll mention that on the other thread I started on being Ritaniless in Europe and having an OEC to set!

For now I'm going to see if I can manage to post pix of my ering: 1.17, D/VVS1, fab cut NiceIce ering. (They were sweet to work with.)

Well, it's uploaded, no to see if it'll post. It's 6x6mm, the traps are about 3mm long and they are more or less channel set, I say more or less because I like the way the plat washes up to them..... hmmmm, hard to explain.

Negatives, well, I'm starting to miss a little extra bling, and the shoulders aren't exactly symmetrical. I couldn't face shipping it all the way back from europe and then having to fight my side against customs here that we shouldn't have to pay import (21% again when it came back) aaaaand dh was reluctant to go the internet route in the first place so I didn't want to complain. It's not something anyone else would see, but I do. Having said that, it is a lovely ring and I would never have found such a spectacular stone elsewhere. The appraisers were very positive.

Yeeeah, I love step cuts!!!!!
Abi
