I've printed my save the date cards (way late, but I'm sending them anyway since I've gone through the trouble) and all I need to do before I can send them off is decide what to add to the back. I know I want to direct people to our wedding website for more info, so does this mean I don't need to list hotel & car rental info? Should I give our phone number and/or email address for people if they have questions? Your suggestions and advise are greatly appreciated!

My save the dates were simple... Please save the date of September 3 for the wedding of blah, blah, in Hanvoer, NH. Then I included little magnets I made from Papersource that had a monogram, the date and our wedding website. I don't want to pay for all those extra enclosures, so I figured that this would be less expensive. I'm planning on including a magnet in the invitations of those individuals who didn't receive a save the date but are invited to the wedding... I have a "Contact us" link on the website, so I didn't include that on the card, but that might be a good idea as well!

depending how techno-savvy your guests are, I would still include the hotel/travel info on the back, just in case grandma can't surf the internet that well. as long as you have teh website on the front, ppl will probably refer to is as time goes on... if you're not worried about that, i would just leave it blank! less work for you! i'm not sure about contact info... i would assume that most of the guests ought to have some kind of contact info for you, if they're invited! or at least be able to ask a family member . one thing that someone mentioned a while ago was sometimes it's useful to put 'invitation to follow' or something, so ppl don't get confused thinking its the invite and call asking why there's no specifics. STD are still kinda new i guess, so the older generation isn't as familiar.

I made my own, so I made the actual STD, then made and included an additional card with travel and accomodations information along with phone numbers and websites for them to contact. Worked out pretty well. When I sent the actual invites, I didn't need to include that information since it had already been sent.
