I've noticed that Blue Nile is typically more expensive than most other vendors on Pricescope.  Is there any particular reason for this other than larger overhead and perhaps more selection?

I noticed that too, I ended up going with whiteflash.com. They had cheaper prices, still had a return policy. The service there was incredible. Can't speak to quality yet, haven't got the diamond, but from what I have read they are very good.

I know a lot of people love WhiteFlash. I swear by Signed Pieces/Facets. Search around!

Bluenile spent more money on marketing and advertising and are better known.
Would you buy from Amazon or someone you never heard of?

Therefore BN can and do charge more, just like Tiffany

If you are looking for loose diamonds, sometimes BN will have a bargain in what you are looking for.  They have some exclusive contracts to sell online and occasionally they have some stock that is priced very well.  It's on a case by case basis, but is not usually the norm.
