Hi  All...

I've been collecting for more years than I care to admit...here are some of my favorites...

First,  my latest, truly greatest acquisition...Vintage, (1920) emerald and diamond ring, Em: 1.83cts, Dias: 2.7cttw (square step-cut).  I posted this before on the colored gemstone forum...I LOVE THIS RING!!

(edited to add)  I found this at Nelson Rarities...

This is the Deco ring that started my obsession...I got YEARS ago at a B&B estate trunk show...

Center diamond: 1.73cts, fancy light yellow brown...

Wow that is one of the nicest emerald rings I've ever seen.  I love the detailing and the scroll work, simply delicious!!

This is sorta fun...sort of a "cigar band" .  I call it my "tutti-frutti" ring.  I found this at an antique show.  Probably from the '60s...

Oh, Widget!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your ings are just breathtaking--all exquisitely crafted and very "rich" in every sense of the word. My favorite is the fancy yellow ring--LOVE the design.

Thank you for sharing--really noteworthy eye candy here!

No,  I sort of go through phases.  Right now,  I'm living in the emerald ring.

Here's the last one.  I never wear it, for some reason...  the tiny diamonds around the pearl are rose cuts...

Thanks for looking, everybody!

Thank you !

I really needed somethig to help start this scary day

The rings are wonderful, of course.  I love the pinky...

Did the round ruby get reset ? You mentioned finding an unheated Thai one in an old piece of jewelry a bit back.

I'm sure a gem expert could give you a better answer,  but they are an cut that was more popular in the Deco era.  Usually (?)  square or rectangular in shape,  and carry a lot more weight on top...(above the girdle).

Lab...synthetic!

Valeria!!! Your memory!!

Yes...here it is.  It doesn't really qualify as an estate piece, but the stones are old,  anyway!

I now know the ruby is 1.45cts.  The sides are .57cttw OECs...David at Diamonds by Lauren did it for me...

Enough! (Don't you agree?)

That you have a very nice collection (= "enough" when you say so) - yes, sure !

That any amount of pictures like these is enough... no way; can't agree with that.

How long did it take you to aquire these beautiful rings, must be many years I'm sure.  I thought when you said french lab cut they were synthetics, just wasn't sure.  Thanks for sharing your gorgeous rings with us, now are you sure there aren't any more??

WIDGET!!! Oh my!!

I have seen these beauties sometime ago in various old posts. But I don't think I have seen them compiled in 1 post.

I second what valeria101 said. I too need something to get me through today...
Thanks for the gorgeous and most delicious eye-candy!

Hi Widget,

You have a stunning collection,  Thanks for sharing.  The emerald ring is just gorgeous.  Which Antique shows do you go to?  Have you been to the Hillsborough Antique Show which takes place 3 times a year in San Mateo, CA.

Lovely collection! I also have some old Deco rings that were handed down to me from my grandmothers. I love them for their simplicity and memories.

I haven't been to the Hillsborough show for years...I don't know why...  But this year I went to a HUMONGOUS show in Miami Beach (My son lives in So. Florida, so I had an excuse),  and it was mind boggling.  Thousands of exhibitors, from all over the world.  It was so incredible that one doesn't even need an excuse...it's worth the trip!  (But don't do as I did and try to see everything in one day!)

Art Nouveau: don't YOU have a few baubles you'd like to share?? Hint, hint..

Again...thank you, everyone...and thank you for not saying..."What..are you nuts??"
