Has anyone seen this type of necklace? Also, the pendant does not have a hook for the chain - the chain kinda goes into the pendant. thanks all!

Yes, I've already checked the solitare pendant link. Until my friend described her wish for a solitare emerald or asscher cut diamond pendant, I never realized that I've only seen the round diamonds.

thanks, I got the picture from their site. I was trying to find something with a different solitare diamond shape than round.

Stuller.com (and other dealers) carries mountings for pendants of all different shapes...so I'm sure any jeweler can make it up for you....do you have a stone already???

It is not hard to have any diamond set as a simple salitaire pendant. Rounds are allot more common so every online store seems compelled to hang up some pictures of those. As far as I remember, there are only a couple of non-round pendants talked about on this forum... Mara's Regent was te first, then there is a new thread about a marquise pendant in the making. No squares I am affraid. If what you are after is a simple setting, you might want to ask the seller of the stone to provide some options. It would probably be a basket type setting, but some variation always remains feasible. Have you seen these (link) ? I definitely like the baskets used to hold the princess cut dangles and those could just be hung from a chain as they are.The baskets used for the diamonds in these earrings below look nice too and could just as well be used without any change for a solitaire pendant. Just some thoughts... ![]() Ana "The greatest experts are only as good as the sum total of what they have seen." [Souren Melikian] |
