I'm probably way behind some of you. I've just sprung to action over the last couple of days. We get married the weekend of August 13th and our reception is the 20th of August. We have locations for both ( wedding in Tahoe reception in San Francisco). But we don't have rings and I don't have my dress and we don't have invites etc. How about you?

May 29, so less than two months left!  The big things are all booked, now just have to deal with all the little details, like choosing the music, deciding on the flowers, going to dress fittings, etc.  Still have to convince FMIL that a tank top and a silk skirt from Eileen Fisher doesn't mean "formal", which might be the biggest task.  By the way, you have plenty of time for rings and invites, we ordered my wband just last weekend and I ordered invites in February.

I have 26 days to go.  We still need to get the alcohol.  He still needs to get his groomsmen gifts.  I ordered my bridesmaid gifts last night.

We have been engaged for 14 months... I was excited in the beginning and got a lot of it done then.

Innerkitten - you better go get your dress soon!!  Mine took six months to get in, and then it had to be fitted twice.  That was at one of those small boutique shops, though.  My dress and the bridesmaid dresses are the only things that took a really long time to get.

Oh... my veil took forever, too!!

Still to do:

cake topper, cake cutter (i went a bit crazy on ebay)
BM/GM all accepted

YES!!! Although he didn't ask his freaking brother until this Sunday..... but he did ask finally. He can't find the 4th guy he wanted - number changed, can't find in online directories or anything! So he's thinking of asking my brother instead.

He has been so much more helpful!! I think the realization that we have less than 100 days (80 to be exact!!) to go is getting his butt off the couch and motivating him/us to get things done. He also called his uncle to ask if his daughters would be FG's before I called my aunt about my cousin being RB, so he's had some gloating time too. We had a big talk after my ranting post and decided that the whole point of our engagement and planning the wedding is for us to learn how to handle stress etc and work through a huge list of tasks TOGETHER, so he's been really great!

Thanks so much! We are really excited too.

JC - glad to hear he has been more helpful!

Flopkins - dont worry... youve got plenty of time! I would almost be too afraid to make too many decision so far away. I have a tendancy to change my mind a lot! Think of it as extra research time.
