Have you seen anything like this? Hidalgo has one (that's pictured) but it runs really high in price.

I love braided wedding bands!
I'm considering one myself - I love the symbolism.
The ones I have looked at tend to be quite expensive, $3000 - $6500.
Pealmans Jewelers have some by Eli.

Michael C Fina has the Eli Platinum Twisted Eternity listed as $3000

Here's an close up of the Hidalgo Braided Band, it's stacked with two red enamel bands.

The Photos came from:
Bill Barnes - He quotes the Braided band at $2200 (for .49 carats (grade?) 18K White Gold.)

drooooooooool.

It was over $2000 - i think that's silly for white gold and such tiny diamonds. I really love it though.

These rings are really pretty, but the price. . .

This would be a design to have made custom for probably half these prices!

I love the Hidalgo rings, but they are way overpriced I think.  That tri-color diamond braided ring above is so pretty.  I'd like that for a right-hand pinky ring (smallest finger, fewer diamonds, less $$).

I may just have it custom made. Any other suggestions, my slaves to the sparkle

They have ones that are just braided in the metal. I've thought about getting one for my wedding band, but I think my fingers are too small. You need to have a decent sized finger or else the band will look too big on it unless you get a real small band, but then you can't see the braids.

For those following the braided wedding band saga, I've foud a new one that I'm lovin - it's by Sheldon Speyer. you can see it  here: http://www.design4you.co.th/sheldon/new_wed.htm

I was out last night and saw it in a window in a Bronxville jewlery store. The woman was so kind to me, she called Sheldon himself to find out if it could be made with all diamonds (the one in the window had half diamond, half sapphire) and to see what the price would be in 18k white gold instead of platinum.

I think it will still be well over my budget, but we will see..

Yipee! My Sheldon Speyer braided ring came in to the jewlery store for me to view, and I totally love it! Now, the only problem is that it is waaaaay over my budget

- so I have to work on getting my FI to "see the light" on the fact that I NEED IT. :)

Here's the prob: The ring is over $2000, and our budget in total for both rings is $2000. So really, his band would probably be about $500. This takes the final price up to almost $3000.

But what's an extra $1000 for something that you will wear for the
REST OF YOUR LIFE RIGHT

That is completely the way I see it!!!  I forewent certain luxuries for the wedding and spent less on my dress and things because I wanted us to have nice rings.  After all, besides the pictures, they are the only things left from that day that get seen anymore...and they are seen every day!!!

sorry...   couldnt pass this up...      (couldnt agree more BTW)

if you put ~ 5 cents into a jar every day..     by your 50th anniversary you will be back on track

if you buy one less pair of shoes a year... you will be back on track in 5.

if HE doesnt buy a new $500 driver every year... you will be back on track in just  2 years !!!!

Your choice is so unique and fun! I don't think it ought to be a mega huge deal...unless ya'll are going way over budget with other things right now.[$$)] Why dont you offer to stay in more often for a bit? Or try to bribe him with back massages? I think that this is a peice you will wear forever....and if you love the one you get now arent you less likely to want a ring upgrade later?
