Hi,
Should I get the Whiteflash 7 stone A Cut Above Wedding band to wear with a non-A Cut Above engagement ring?  Will there be visible difference in the sparkle, I mean would the wedding band outsparkle my e-ring?  I have never seen a Whiteflash A cut above stone so I really do not know how much sparkle to expect.  My current stone is an AGS 000 that rates 1 on the HCA.  I'm afraid that the band will outsparkle my e-ring.  Please help.

I think you will be FINE.  Yes, ACAs are beautiful stones, but you also have a beautiful stone!

I agree with Patty.  Your ideal cut stone should stand up nicely to the ACA wedding band.

No worries - the band will complement your ring nicely.

What would be even more criminal is to get a w/ring where the stones DON'T complement the gorgeous cut of your e-ring.

I have an ACA wedding eternity band with 2 pointers and my engagement ring is 3 pointers of well-cut melee from another jeweler...I don't see a difference and these are side by side all the time.

Plus your engagement stone is much bigger than your w-ring stones will be..I don't think much can outsparkle a bigger well-cut stone!!

Hmmm, does this mean that I'm just as well getting a wedding band from say Signed Pieces instead of paying the premium for the A Cut Above?  I guess I just want something with a lot of sparkle.  Is this unrealistic given the small size of the diamonds?  I'm thinking something between .05-.10 pointers.

Hi Rosy,

I just received my wedding band from Whiteflash. You can see pics here

There have been many people to order bands from both companies and I have seen some beautiful bands from signed pieces I agree with Mara, with diamonds that small you wouldn't notice a difference between e-ring and w-ring. I have never seen a sp and wf ring next to each other, maybe in a direct comparision you could tell...anyway, i think you should go with the one you want. I chose Whiteflash because I 'wanted" those aca's in my band, which sparkles like crazy

I'm leaning more towards Whiteflash than Signed Pieces as I think it will be more sparkly just because it's their A Cut Above line.  Thanks for the input I guess the diamonds on the wedding band are so tiny that they won't outsparkle the big diamond.  The only problem with Whiteflash is that they their 7 A Cut Above is made in .60 carat size.  That makes each diamond .09 pointers which is kind of too big for me, it'll have a huge, huge gap.  I guess I can contact them & have them custom make it for me with smaller pointers.  I'm a little hesitant though because its hard to tell how it'll turn out if I can't see it in person. Plus  I won't be able to return it as it is custom. Oh decisions, decisions!

Hi Rosy,
Lynn B just had a new setting done with 5 pointers on the band. You should try to go and look at some bands with the size of diamonds you want to get a good idea. WF might even have pics of another ring they have done like the one you want. As for being able to return. I believe WF will give you a 70% refund on a custom project if there is and error on their part. maybe someone from WF will jump in.

you can see pics of lynn's rings here
