I'd like a thread where we could see all of the yellow, rose and tri-color rings together. This includes E-rings, wedding sets, RHRs, dream rings from adverts too. Thanks! ![]()

I prefer yellow gold jewelry because I think it looks better with my skin tone. Also, being Asian, I have some 22K jewelry too.

Thanks Lynne! I forgot to include two-tone. d'oh! Cflutist, Same here! I've tried on white metals but my undertones just won't have them. My mom is nearly the same intensity of brown(a bit lighter) but w/diff undertones, so she can totally wear plat, wg and silver. She has some amazing exotic silver pieces(Moroccan, Tuareg, Nepalese) that i drool over. I tried them on and it's not the same. If during the summer, I get tanned darker I can skate by with them, but it's never as good as YG. 22k is gorgeous..wish it were heartier. Seems definitely for special occasions. In Paris, you can find some beautiful things at the North African, Chinese, West African, & Indian owned shops. Here, Berkeley has a few good Indian jewelry stores. A lot of the women I've met from these countries/ethnicities even find 18k cheesy. Let alone our standard here of 14k. I was first aware of 22k jewelry in high school from a Indian classmate. I hadn't known it existed before!

Patty & Cflutist, thanks for posting your amazing, stunning rings! I was watching the Gem Shopping channel and one of the hosts said that YG is staging a comback. I'm not sure if he was just trying to sell the yg diamond bracelet onscreen... but it's a pleasant thought! ![]()

Omigoodness, cflutist. Your bracelets are breathtaking. I love the rainbow effects(esp in the Wink one) and of course the yg. It's beyond the beyond! It definitely goes into my dream pieces folder. There's something so cheerful, friendly and a bit decadent about yg(esp. with diamonds) to me. Oh yeah...J'adore pool bear! LOL!

An unusual one from the Mege site. I'm not sure if it's for a man or woman. Maybe it's unisex. It also reminds me of an alien's eye, or something sci-fi-y. ![]()

This is my diamond RHR. The Marquise is 1.47 F-VS1 and is considered "fat" by its length to width ratio (1.65) because it is outside the preferred range of 1.75 - 2.25. There are 24 princess cuts F-G/VS with a total weight of 2.32ct. TW of the ring is 3.79 cts.![]()

This is my sapphire ring after Richard Homer recut it. The weight did drop from 3.05 to 2.55 cts, but is so much prettier now. The story of the recut with before and after pictures can be found here.
