Hi, There has been a bunch of discussions about the Salton Jewelry Spa. I don't have one b/c my jeweler is up the street and will clean my rings for free whenever I want but I know several people hear love them. |

FYI, I did recently get the Sparke Sparkle stuff reviewed and commented on recently here. Any other comparisons from those familiar with both?

You can try Otto Frei at http://www.ottofrei.com/store/home.php?cat=728 They sell findings and tools to the trade but do sell this ultrasonic for home use at 69.95

I have the ultrasonic jewelry cleaner from Sharper Image. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I love it and have bought them as gifts for my mom and my best friend. My diamonds have never been so sparkly - and I make my own cleaning solution with windex, dish soap, and hot water. They sell them at SI for $89.99, but SI frequently comes out with $20 off coupons, and that's when I bought them, so I paid $69.99.

I have a Branson ultrasonic cleaner and purchased the otto frei solution for it. It works well and love it. I purchased Sparkle Sparkle for everyday cleaning and so far no other daily cleaner (spray or soaking type) has even compared to this product. I need to order more today. It really makes platinum shine like nothing else I have tried. It comes with 2 handy brushes that can clean the smallest spots on your setting. best, Lori **************************** Adopt a pet and save a life. |

Twice a week. I don't have pave set rings however. If I had pave, I'd probably go once a week or once in 2 weeks. I'd love to hear from pave owners that clean by ultrasonic however, in regards to frequency. I've heard many pave owners don't, but I've read it's okay if the pave's done correctly.

Once every few months (usually when I need to clean my diamond tennis bracelets). My e-ring stone and channel set side stones are pretty accessible so I normally just clean with soft toothbrush and dishwashing liquid.

abbott if you pm me, i can forward you the last $20 coupon email I got. get yourself onto the email list and every month or so, you'll get an email coupon for $20 off a purchase of $60 or more. you can use the coupon online, or print it and bring it to any SI store.

Hello, I bought a portable Elma Ultrasonic cleaner (German Brand) together with the jewelry cleaner (1 litre) back in 2002. It was so heavy to carry both items while taking a bus back home :P Anyway, it was worth all the trouble of lugging it back because it works great!! Never seen diamonds so shiny... 'smiling' back at me.. :) As my mom and M-I-L wear their diamonds often, I use the machine once every 6 weeks +/-. Not safe to carry all their jewelries around just to ask for free washing. Whenever I go window-shopping and happens to pop into any jewelry shop, I feel kinda shy when they (sales staffs) offer free cleaning with their heavy duty ultra sonic machine. Unless I know them well and occassionally do purchase some small items as gifts for friends from them. I use countless bottles of connosseurs liquid cleaner to soak and brush all my diamonds daily after every use religiously. When travel overseas, also bring along the connosseurs gel with brush so I can clean them... guess that I really loovve my 'pet-rock' to shine or I must be a real complusive cleaning freak (nickname by my DH... :P ) One thing I haven't tried using is a tablet form of cleaner called "Powervescent". Just pop 1 tablet in the very warm water together with your jewerly and after 20 mins they are clean.

i have a salton jewelry spa too but have never used it...my jeweler told me that the diamonds could pop out of the pave work. are there any pave owners out there that have used the salton and haven't had a problem? i don't doubt that the stones are secure or the quality of her work but her adament no scared me a bit.
