Does Leon Mege only make the settings of rings and you supply your own diamond or does he do both? Has anyone been to his shop? Share the experience and what is your opinion and what to expect? Why would one go to him? Thanks!

Hi Kelly, As far as I know, you would need to provide your center stone if you are working with him directly. he will get sidestones or any other stones you might want in your setting. Type in Leon Mege in the search box and you will find a lot of threads with the answers to your questions. i have never been to his place but reports from those who have say it is more of a workshop type atmosphere. he doesn't have many rings on display but will show you rings he is currently working on. He takes 6-8 weeks to complete a project. Why work with him you ask? Check out this link it is pictures of rings he has done for people here on PS. He is a Master Craftsman and I dream of someday wearing a Leon Creation. Hopefully others who have worked with him will chime in. Good Luck ![]() Have you checked out his website? artofplatinum.com |

I met with Leon a few weeks ago, and I was very impressed by his entire operation. He's a lot younger than I thought (maybe in his 40s?), and he was very laid-back and not pushy at all. His office is really cute, and kind of resembles a medieval guild hall (most diamond district offices that I've seen are rather shabby), and he had a huge portfolio of gorgeous pictures of his work, beyond what's on his website. I want a relatively simple setting (one very thin row of bead-set diamonds, probably 3/4 eternity), and the price he quoted me was significantly lower than designer and non-custom pieces I have seen. I am planning on bringing him a stone, so I did not inquire about purchasing a stone from him. He told me that he will need 3 weeks for my project.
