Is the HCA a reliable tool for this stone? |

Hi Everyone, This store scored a 0.7 on the HCA but is not a H&A. Eveything is excellent except spread(VG). Please see pictures, and it is graded with a med. blue fluor.

If it priced in your budget it is worth going for - but the ideal-scope shows that the star is very narrow (= long lower girdle facets) and the stone will not have a lot of fire and contrast. Its symmetry is so so. I would want this sstone to be 20% less cost than one with a nicer ideal-scope. Garry Holloway FGAA DipDT |
