I was just going through some of my jewelry and found my "vacation only" simulate pre-ering. Since I had never seen a Fakey McFakerton Asscher-esque ring before, I decided I'd take some pics of it and post. It's was something my BF bought for me for like $10 from Dillard's (on sale!!!) since I didn't want to take my platinum/sapphire ring (that I always wear) with us on our trip to Mexico over the summer. This was the ring that spawned many a rumour about us eloping in Cabo.  I'm sure some of you ladies have the same type of pre-engagement cheapy - sim (please don't let me be the only one). So post 'em up here!

Oh no!! I threw mine away in Dec. because I was afraid Bf would find it and be horrified!!!! It was gorgeous. It was like a two carat, pave diamonds on the sides. Darn! I never thought I would have a use for it!!!

I don't have any right now, but if BF won't go e-ring shopping... I used to design costumes for theatre and I was working on a show with four wealthy New York married women. I must have spent forever shopping for their rings. Despite the fact that you would barely notice them from the audience, we looked from Wal-Mart to Dillards for the best (and biggest!) rings; my assistant and I had to try them all on, of course! Then we wore them around the shop while we worked on the rest of the show! It was so fun! I almost wish that one of them had gotten "lost" at strike!

I actually want to buy a fakey fro my honeymoon so I don't have to wrooy about "the goods" while i'm in the ocean. I haven't decided if I want to pretend with a gigantor, or if I want to go smaller than what I have, so I feel like it grew while I was away!

you know where I saw fantabulous fakey fake rings? Charlotte Russe. For like $4!!! There was one that was just a monster solitare in a pretty setting.. and i WANTED it. but I actually found it somewhat convincing (much more than the ones from like new york and company or target). But FI gets really offended when *I* want to buy fake rings. He got offended before we got engaged too.. I just cant win. |

I just bought a fake ring last weekend...even though we are picking up the real one this weekend. But he wants to keep the real one and wait to make a "real" proposal. We are doing a big his-family gathering the weekend of the 19th. I'm thinking about wearing the big fake one just to see what they do.....Of course, I've told him the real once would look MUCH nicer  I don't think he's taking my bribe.

I have a fakey, but I don't have any pictures. That's okay though, cuz it's just your basic "Tiffany" four-prong solitaire. I think you can imagine it fairly well. ;) I have another, too, of a princess bezel-set at a 45-degree angle with two smaller princesses set beside it. I have a pic somewhere... lemme see if I can dig it up...

I got a Diamonique 2ct round in a tiffany setting from QVC to wear when I'm not comfortable wearing my ering. Its so white and sparkley!!

FI bought me a fakey Walmart temporary e-ring until he got THE ring. I have pics somewhere in SMTR (buried or lost) of the first proposal (during Lord of the Rings), and then a comparison pic of my diamond with the temp cz in my One Ring thread, also in SMTR.

Here's one I got at Macy's for $15 because it's been 2 months since I gave my original e-ring to the jeweler to be reset...and it should have been done a long time ago!!! The marqise has gotta be the equiv. of at least 3-ish carats.

Here are a few of my QVC Diamonique rings. Before I got my upgrade ring I used to wear a lot of fakes. They are all set in white gold exept the third one, which is platinum-over-silver.

I just bought a 1 carat cushion faker for a laugh, it's really sparkly too. My boyfriend had a heart attack and said "I thought you didn't like big solitaire rings!" (even though I was wearing it on my right hand). hehehe the panic in his eyes was very satisfying for some reason
