i ran the HCA using angles(crown & pavilion)i get a 1.5 but when i rerun using %(crown & pavilion) i get a .9 shouldn't the results be the same? Is there something wrong with the diamond? t=55, td=61.8, c angle 34.9, pav angle 40.9, crown % 15.5, pav % 43, culet 0 i ran the test on another diamond, and both tests (using % & angles)resulted in the same number. i hope i never have to buy another diamond. thanks to all who replied to my other question & those who will reply to this one. bram |

This is known fact, Bram77. We recomend using ANGLES because Sarin measures them more accurately. HCA translates depth % into angles anyway using simple trigonometric formulas. Depth % also depends the way girdle is measured and whether culet is not zero. Pricescope |
