Illtud Rough Rock Total Posts: 3 Last Post: 10/9/2002 Member Since: 8/24/2002	hi folks - looking for help in a few areas in my engagement ring search: I like very much the Tiffany & Co. classic 6-prong platinum solitaire mount, but loathe the Tiffany premium price, so recently found an authentic (or what appears to be authentic) Tiff & Co. 6-prong plat mount at a Diamond District retailer. I wonder if I could buy this mount from them, buy a diamond from a web dealer like diamondbrokersoffl.com and have a local jeweler do the actual mounting. see any flaws in this plan? are there any web dealers out there that sell Tiffany & Co. plat mounts? and in the previous 3-party scenario, from who would i get a box to present the ring? I hesitate to buy anything from the Diamond District, the whole operation appears to be such a backalley swindle. anyone have any experience with "DP Diamond Palace" in the Diamond District (the place i saw the Tiff & Co. mount)? any help is appreciated .... thanks -Illtud
