lovey Ideal Rock Total Posts: 515 Last Post: 12/22/2008 Member Since: 12/1/2004	This morning, my BF (uh, I mean fiance ) asked me to help him with a photo shoot of the Fire Island Lighthouse (spectacular day and crystal clear views of the Atlantic Ocean). I was supposedly there to "hold the tripod". We trekked though the snow to the lighthouse and knocked on the door..there were a few volunteers inside, but they said that the lighthouse was closed to tours until noon...but they would let us go up anyway. We were escorted to the top by a volunteer tour guide who filled us in on lighthouse history etc. At the top, the guide let us go outside by ourselves. My BF told me to start taking photos..I snapped one and then turned around to find him kneeling and holding a ring box!!! His proposal was so sweet and the setting so perfectly "us" that we both cried but managed to take lots of pictures to remember the moment!!!! The folks at the lighthouse were fantastic and toasted us with a bottle of wine. When we returned home, the house was filled with flowers. One of our good friends had worked with my BF to transport the bouquets from the florist while we were gone. He even set up a champagne bucket.. ohmygosh guys, it was the best. Still IS!! I'm FLOATING! and OH MY, OH MY, OH MY the RING. Leon outdid himself!!!!!!!!!!!!!! heaven! I will post pictures!!!! -lovey ...guess this means I'm OFF THE LIST!!!!!!!!! But hopefully I'll still be on the "guest list" lol! Thanks to all of you who have filled my stay here with caring and thoughtful posts...

First of all, it looks massive on your hand in that adorable pic of you two, and second of all........ .....well put me right there with Lauren, because that is just THE DREAM RING!! You have just an amazing piece of art--it incorporates all of the things I love--the asscher, the fabulous pave, the cut-corner-boxter-"ballerina"-head and....the double claw prongs!!! We took one look at Reena's ring and were lost... It may not be everyone's taste, but the ring is was beyond my wildest dreams..and of course that goes for the man too!!

We went to see the "Arrrteeest" Leon this past Friday and dropped my stone off. When he brought us into his office, we interrupted a photoshoot of a lovely octagonal assher mounted ring (know who's ring this is???). Well needless to say, he opened my design form , which coincidentally has an octagonal head and said, "OH HERE, LOOK AT THIS THIS" Well, I was floored... Dre was truly outdone! Truly! He tried to contain himself when we were there... but when we left he just kept saying. "Wow Chris. This guy is no joke." "That ring was amazing. Love that center stone." "Wonder who's getting that bad boy, cos that thing is HUUUGGGGE." "The detail is sick" "Wow." "Wow" "Wow" hahaha.. get the point! So my dear, your band has striked an unreal amount of excitement out of my future hubby. Mind you this is a guy who doesnt get excited about ANYTHING. He has a rather blahh attitude. But since then, all he keeps saying is, "I can't wait now." I said to myself, " Wonder if this belongs to someone off PC." Smallworld! Congradulations lovey! Charming story. So happy for you! And "we're" glad we got to see your ring in person. It's truly a masterpiece!
