I am looking at a modestly priced diamond. It is an emerald cut.
0.61
Color E
Grade VS2
63.2 Table
62 depth
Sym: Gd
Polish GD
5.72x4.18x2.64
For 1205

I'm a bit concered about the length to width ratio. it is 1.36. Should this be a concern?
Or at this price, am I getting all i'm going to get.

Thanks!

L/W ratio is very much a matter of personal preference/taste.

Ssome people bought stones with 1.3 L/W ratio and were very happy.

Check Emrldforher post in this thread:
What is the best cut for an Emerald Cut???.

Emrldforher has done a great research buying Emerald cut diamond :)

Length to width ratio is definitely a choice preference. The Gemological Institute of America defines a preferred length to width ratio in an emerald cut of 1 to 1.5 . Please keep in mind, however, that a ratio of 1 to 1.3 could face up better than a 1 to 1.5 ....as the overall cut proportions can make or break a diamond.
