Have any of you future brides done this?  There is one in Atlanta in a couple of weeks.  I'm a little nervous about the chaos that I've heard it is.  I'd love to hear some stories.

Oh, I've heard stories! It seems like a fun time if you're a morning person and have a group of friends to take along to help grab dresses. Here in Boston, one of the hotels across the street offers a special overnight package - they'll make sure you're up early, well-caffeinated, and help you get across the street in plenty of time to get to the event.

I'm shy and not terribly comfortable with crowds... but it still looks like a crazy-fun time if you're not there expecting that you'll get *the* dress (and you don't mind taking off all your clothes in front of a lot of strangers doing the same thing to try on the dresses...).

Ha ha ha ha!  It's a Friday...I teach, and don't think I can justify taking the day off to plow through wedding dresses (January 21) But one of my best friends feels like we shouldn't miss it.  Check out this website for details...

I think by the time I got there all that would be left would be a whithered pile of silk!

tybee- i haven't gone myself, but a friend of mine in boston got her wedding dress there, and this is what she says-
bring ALL your AGGRESIVE girlfriends, not the shy polite types, or you won't get anywhere.
go early, or squeeze yourself to the front of the pack.
when they let you in, grab EVERY DRESS YOU SEE, regardless of size, style, etc...(supposedly all the dresses disappear off the racks within minutes.)
start trading for dresses you DO like... and have fun!!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!

i wish i was near a filenes, or i would totally go!!! my friend got her dress for 800, it was originally 3000 or something like that.
