- diamond cross approx .75 ctw
- a pair of diamond earrings, .35 - 50 ctw to start, then another pair in the future, no bigger than .75 ctw
- diamond pendant (oh the possibilities), .35 - .75 ctw (see, I'm not picky)
- diamond bracelet
See there? Thats my sparkly goal (tee hee, I just quoted myself). I didn't even have a time frame on any of these items and it has already been set back by $650, lost to an exercise (weights) machine from Costco!! Say it ain't so!!!!!!!!! My DH, he only understands my need every 12 years. Heck, I didn't even know I had a sparkly need until 2 years ago when I received my wedding set. Help me folks, what is a girl to do? All this after Santa brought a real go-cart for our kids which set us back at least double that. I thought my DH was done for a while, but when he gets on a spending roll there's little I can do to stop him. Think, I could have at least checked off one, maybe two of these items.

Waaaaah!

Kmom....I feel your pain!!!

Hubby just hates the whole jewelry thing, thinks it's such a waste of money, but this past year had the 15th anniversary and 40th Birthday milestone and he took the plunge. I think the only reason I ended up with the Signed Pieces eternity band for Christmas was he hates shopping, knew what I wanted, one phone call and it was done. I've become a jewelry nag. I'm the professional nagger now when it comes to jewelry. In the past I would just sit back and agree that jewelry wasn't a good investment....yada..yada..yada.... then I found PS

He now just rolls his eyes when he sees me on here and I make him look at everyone's sparklies. This man has expensive hobbies and I've never said a word..he plays music for fun and when we built this house we actually had a music studio built and it lacks nothing $$$$ I didn't complain, I got furniture He decided to become a pilot and that was major $$$$ and I sat idly by and then PS!!! Now there is no stopping me His latest is he would like to buy a plane and get his instrument rating...again $$$$$ I can see a major earring upgrade in my future!!! For many years I sat idly by...but no longer....

Kmom.....you go girl and start doing some diamond nagging

My goal is a Raphael eternity band from Signed Pieces/Facets...I should have it by March, just in time for my birthday. After that, I'm done for a LONG time. In the last 1.5 years, I'll have gotten an e-ring, a diamond wedding band, H&A pendant, H&A martini earrings, 2 more pairs of diamond earrrings, a sapphire/diamond right hand ring, and the eternity band. I added up the cost and nearly fell over.

Anyway, my sister just ordered a sapphire and diamond eternity ring from Facets...I can't wait to see how it looks!

Hey would you mind posting your pendant on my "pendant" thread in Show me the ring? Thanks

Sure, I'll try. It'll have to be a scanned pic, though. It's a pretty simple 4 prong white gold setting. I wouldn't mind resetting it at some point.

I mentioned this one on another thread but I'm posting the picture here. I looooove this necklace. There's a matching bracelet that goes along with it

14K GOLD CHAIN NECKLACE WITH DIAMOND CLASP

Sumptuous 14kt gold popcorn and woven wheat design made more impressive with a full carat t.w. diamond horseshoe clasp. Necklace

*They left out that onyx cabs. I'll just add it for them

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the nice warm wishes.

I am due on August 31th 2005. I am 7 weeks pregnant from my LMP date and 5 weeks based on my Ovulation Date().

I am gaining weight fast too, I have already gained about 8 pounds! Ahhh! I keep stuffing my face all the time! I get these uncontrollable urges, not for jewelery, but for food, it's really scary actually....

Maybe it's a boy!

Don't worry about the weight. You're tiny- it'll come off fast. Take care of yourself.

Yes that bezel setting would be for JJ!
I'll have Quest Manufacturing make it. They are awesome.
Thanks for this info. I cannot wait to see how your pendant turns out. My husband seemed somewhat receptive to a similar pendant being made sometime like our anniversary I'd like it square but with a round center stone.

I have an idea for Didi: a tennis bracelet made up of the same 30 pt square emerald stones as her eternity band.

Ohhh, yessssss! I LOVE THAT!!!! (I'm seeing "trouble" again for my DH!!! )

I'd also like to reset my half carat solitaire necklace like the one that sevens one showed with the bezel setting and the small stones surrounding it. That is so pretty.

I'm also thinking of resetting my yellow radiant into a Cartier split shank kind of setting.

Hmmm...what else....oh yes, I would love to get a cushion cut diamond!!!! hehehe Am I thinking too big? Too much for one year?

Mine is to get my engagement ring (centre stone now purchased and Richard Homer on the hunt for rough for the side stones) made by Leon Mege. Would love to have diamond studs but that may be my 2006 goal!

You are all making me salivate over here!! The funny thing is, I'm so not a collector...BUT, if I must give you my goals.....
2 ct studs, a 1 ct pendant and a 3 ct cushion....that's *all*...not asking too much am I?
Of course, I'll need to start sending out resumes. Wonder how street walking pays these days LOL

Yes, my upgrade diamond (from 1.06 to 1.98 ct.). Now,for this year, no way near as much, but maybe a new watch for dressing up. I love my Citizen eco drive everyday watch that I've had for 5 years, so maybe a new eco drive with diamonds on it.

After my e-ring upgrade for X-mas I'm probably not making any major purchases this year (or for about the next 10 years after what that thing cost... ).

But I LOVE the huggies that you posted, Sevens. Where are they from?

Mara, does your pendant come in yellow gold? I've been looking for just one simple elegant yellow piece FOREVER and have had no luck.

Kayla -- congratulations!!!

My goal last year was to reset my engagement diamond in a better setting that would match my wedding band. As it turned out, I found a vintage engagement ring, which matched better than anything else I could find, and since it came with a diamond, all the better! Now I can reset my engagement diamond into a white setting, not really worrying about matching it to any wedding band, let-alone my hard-to-match (and yellow gold not being my favorite) wedding band.

So, this year's goal is to find a beautiful, white, perfect setting for my engagment diamond.

I didn't have a clue if I had reached my 2005 "diamond goal". I read the entire thread. I never posted to it. So I guess I didn't have one. I don't have one for 2006, either! Maybe I should go to the 2006 thread and record that for posterity :-).
