Anyway, I was talking diamonds on another board, and offered this as an EXCELLENT source of information to folks looking to get eduated before buying their diamonds. The experts -- and laypeople! -- here were so helpful to me when I was looking for a 3 carat + Asscher (square emerald, that is!). Here's what I ended up with (and sorry for the lack of more specs, my GIA cert. is in safe deposit with insurance documents!). It's been over a year, and I am STILL grateful for all the help I received here! Size: 3.4 cts. Color: H Clarity: VVS1

That center stone is GORGOEOUS AND HUGE AND SPARKLY.. and the setting... is so amazing..so much sparkle to it. Its unusual to see something THAT big AND THAT sparkly in the same ring.
