I wanted to share with you all pictures of my Great Grandmother's diamond ring. I have always admired it and my mother just passed it down to me. It is very special to me because I am the 4th generation to wear the ring! I have no idea on the specs, other than that it is a round stone, 0.90 carat.   |

That is a BEAUTIFUL ring. I just love the way they used to do claw prongs. Enjoy it!

HC, your GG's ring is gorgeous, so much history in it makes it even more beautiful. it's amazing how rings from way back (around the early 1900s) hold up so well, it looks brand new. will you wear it as a RHR or just on special occasions? wear it in good health whenever you decide to wear it  it's so nice to have a family heirloom to continue to pass down for many, many more generations to come.

Thank you so much for all the nice compliments! I wish I knew more about how my great grandmother received the ring. And I really wish the ring could talk and tell me all the family secrets! Kim, to answer your question, I think I plan to wear it as a right hand ring. It happens to fit perfectly on the middle finger of my right hand so I think that is where it belongs!  I really like the claw prongs on the ring because they seem unique. I wonder if a lot of rings back then were made in the style of this ring.

Its GORGEOUS!! So classic and timeless.. I have my great grandma's diamond too.. Mine is set into my e-ring though. In its past life, mine was a sidestone in a monster emerald and diamond three stone ring. It looks like the same OEC cut as mine though? Am I right everyone?? Melissa |
