I am about to purchase a diamond and wanted to get the experts opinions on the specs to make sure it was a good deal.
It is a .84 carat, Color: H, Clarity: SI1, Depth: 62.4, Table: 56, Crown Angle: 34.8,Crown %: 15.5 ,Pavilion Angle: 40.8, Pavilion %: 43.3, Girdle: 0.8%-1.7% FACETED, Polish: Ideal,Symmetry: Ideal, Culet: Pointed, Fluorescence: Negligible,Measurements: 6.03-6.07X3.77.  My girlfriend was into the whole carat concept, but this seems to be the closest I can find within my price range, and is going to run me 3390. I figure if you calculate the total of the carats on the setting and the diamonds, it will be over a carat, and when I put the numbers into the HCA and it comes to a 1.5.  Is this a good deal?

Thanks to everyone on this list for helping to educate me.

So... THIS is one carat and maybe there is no need for extras on the setting...

Otherwise, nothing wrong with your pick. I am not into the "carat concept", but if you say she is

Desibuyer,

I was about to say that a) I think you've optimized in the diamond you'd picked out, b) that if that one is from White Flash, I hope you're the one causing the "sold" to be written next to it, and that c) if it's not too late, I hope you can still ask for the Pricescope discount, lowering your expense from $3384 (?) to $3215...

But...seeing Ana's comments, and the choice from DCD, that is another idea you may want to consider.  Both should be nice options.

Best of wishes,

Ira (Ruffles have Ridges) Z.
