I went to a local store and got this quote:
            .72 carat Dream Cut (hearts on fire brand)
          I color
          SI2 clarity

         Price= $5725.00
I realize this is not very much info, but any advice would help, is this too much???

I also want a ballpark for this ring, i have found it but this is what i would like to find

            .75 carat
            preferably DREAM cut by HOF but round will work
            D or E color
            VS1 or VS2 clarity

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ANY RESPONSES

Sounds high to me...it seems you are paying for the brand (Hearts on Fire)...

If you do a search using the toolbar on top of this page, you can imput similar stats and compare prices...Doing a quick search myself, I see prices ranging from the mid 2000$ to upper 4000$ for an ideal (H&A) cut (with size ranging from .70 to .80, color from G to I, and clarity from VS2 to SI1).

Good luck!!

I would not buy a Hearts on Fire, you're paying double for the brand name.  It's not worth it.  It isn't even all that well known outside of the diamond community.  The only brand I would pay a premium for is Tiffany because you get a really high quality setting that you can only get there.  Instead I would buy a hearts & arrows from one of the Pricescope vendor & with the money I save buy the nicest, high quality setting.  Then you're diamond will look 10 x as nice!
