Well everyone, I'm close to making my first diamond purchase - a cushion cut - that's what the lady likes. Before I do so, I wanted to ask what makes the perfect cushion cut. The diamond I've been looking at falls within all 1A standards for the AGA cut grading for an Oval cut, the polish and symmetry are both very good, and it's eye clean. The length-to-width ratio is pretty nice to. Am I missing anything? Any last minute advice would be great. Thanks.

Did you see it, and do you like the way it looks? There is a lot of variation with cushions -- I think the main thing is just finding one that you find beautiful. If you'd like people to comment on the cut of this stone, include the GIA info and we'll let you know what we think...
