Is this a good ideal scope view?  I already have this diamond and it is just beautiful....I guess I'm concenred because I've seen so many "perfect" ideal scope images of diamonds, where all you see is red with perfectly black arrows.  Does mine seem to have too much light leakage since it's rather pink / light red, and the arrows are not completely black?

Although I'm kind of new at this, I think the ideal-scope gives us the unfortunate luxory of being overly picky about our diamonds! I went to a local jeweler recently that I understand to have excellent quality diamonds. I agreed once I saw how stunning they were.  Definitely the best I've seen yet in Chicago. Yet looking at their stones under the ideal-scope, they had lots more leakage that yours. Even their best stone had a white table, i.e. light not returning thru the table. I think the important things are 1) the ideal-scope shows no white in the table area, and 2) there's mostly red around the perimeter. yours meets both!  Maybe somebody can back me up on that.

Like Gary said its fantastic :}
Whiteflash uses a much brighter light source than just about everyone else for thier i-scope photos.
What this means is that you cant directly compare their i-scope photos to others but you can compare it to other stones they carry and get a feel for how there images relate to other vendors images.

Racer you are correct - there are not many diamonds that pass the ideal-scope test. And many that fail are still comparitively beautiful - in fact really ugly diamonds are few and far between.

Sergey has explained that very slight amount of leakage shows up to be about twice or 3 times as bad as our minds are programmed to judge based on color saturation or the intensity of pink.

But on the other hand, when the cut looks great through an ideal-scope - you know you have a winner :)
