this is my first time posting... okay, i have two questions. I live in korea right now so its harder to trust the jewelers here so i've been online looking at rings for my boyfriend. He's in the states. I'm just tryin to find the perfect promise ring for christmas and I found one that is white gold and has three little diamonds in one line going at an angle. Well the ring is a size 10, and my boyfriend wears a 10 1/2. I heard that resizing up is more expensive. Does anyone have an idea how much more expensive it would be for me to resize a 10 to a 10 1/2 or even an 11 if it comes down to it? My second question is...what kind of rings do guys prefer? My boyfriend likes diamonds and white gold, but I dont want anything to girly for him. I have no idea what kind of ring a guy would prefer!! If you could please help me I'd really appreciate it!! THANKS!!! attached is a photo of the ring i was looking at.. please let me know if its not a good choice. |

it costs more to size it up because you are adding gold, but you are only going up half a size and it shouldn't be that expensive. Mostly depends on how thick the ring is and how much the gold weighs. As for what kind of jewelry a man likes, that is personal opinion, I myself do not like rings, I think that they are uncomfortable. I would rather have a chain, but you say he likes white gold and diamonds, now you are driving your price way up and you are worried about the cost of a sizing job. If I was forced into having to wear a ring it would have to be substansial, very heavy with a good sized stone in it about .50 ct. or better. The thinner the band, the smaller the stone the more feminine the ring would appear to me. |
