here's the second option.

kayla:  i have to tell you that the endless love octagon bezel is one of my favorite settings of all time.  i LOVE it!    however, i am biased:  my e-ring-to-be also has a pave bezel so obviously i love the look.  it doesn't do it for everyone, i know, but i just really love how it stands out as different from what you typically see on people's fingers a day-to-day basis.  and that pave around the stone really catches the eye!  is this for a change of setting for your current stone, or are you getting a RHR?

Hi reena,
For some reason, I am unable to post, but I wanted to post a third option, the Ritani Endless Love setting with a round bezel.
I don't know what's wrong with my computer, or me?

This one, by far. I like the octagon shape, I like the bezel setting and I like the slightly antique styling. The other ring doesn't do anything for me.

Yes, those are the three.  Thanks so much Reena and Todd.

I am thinking about changing the setting of my diamond to something with a little more sparkle.  I plan to get the matching wedding band or bands as well.
I don't know which one I really like more.  I love the bezel pave and I think my diamond would look much bigger with it, but I also love the minimal 4 prong diamond look.
I don't know whether I should get one band or two bands either.
So, opinions are wanted!!!

Kayla,
My FI and are are trying to make the same decision.  We both fell in love with the Ritani endless love round bezel setting.  Yesterday, she was in BB&B and saw a new setting that matches your second choice, if I understood her right.

Is your second choice also a Ritani?  Do you know the part number or it's name?  I can't find it on any Ritani web sites?

She now likes the non bezel setting because she's concerned the bezel may hide the beauty of the center stone, and she doesn't want to wait 4-6 weeks for Ritani to set our stone in their bezel setting

Slowpoke.

I like the octagon bezel, and I am not even a huge bezel lover. That one is pretty though. Are you resetting your Leon Mege? Please, say it ain't sooooooooo!

Here is the first ring on the hand.  The diamond in it is about .75 carats.

Kamuelamom,
How are you?  I haven't seen you on these boards in a while.  How is the house coming along?
you are right, this is for the diamond in the Leon Mege ring.  It just doesn't have that WOW effect on me anymore.  I am really craving a pave setting now.  Anyone interested in a second hand LM piece?
I have always loved the Ritani EL settings, but always thought that it would be impossible to get because I thought you had to buy the whole ring from them.  The only thing I don't like about the ring is the side profile.  I don't like how the diamond culet is so exposed, but everything else I love.
The ring with the 4 prongs I found one day at BB&B and fell in love with, too.  I happen to love the side profile of this ring.  It has a basket head and it also has pave around it.

Todd,
The ring is by Ritani, but I don't know the model number.  I only know it as the endless with 4 prongs.  If you are really interested in it, I found a store that is selling this ring for a lot less than what it sells for at other stores.  It is even cheaper than Solomonbrothers.
PM me for more info.

oooooooooooooooooooooh, the octagon bezel!! I ALMOST had my ring made in an ogtagon bezel becaue I TOTALLY LOVED THAT so much! It's such an eye catcher, so different and it makes a rock look HUGE!!

I eventually got a pave bezel, but i wound up going round - but I def like the bezel style the best... 1. because I flail my hands like a typical Italian, and never catch my ring on anything now that it's bezel, 2. because it made my stone look bigger and 3. because it's so damn SPARKLY wit hall those little diamons surrounding it!!

Hi Kayla,
I absolutely love the octagonal bezel setting, but what concerns me is the side view. since I first saw that setting, I wondered what the profile would look like and if it would be comfortable to wear. Does anyone have a side pic with the ring on a finger?

I also adore the second setting with the prongs and diamond basket. I like that side view better on the second than the first. Too bad that they couldn't somehow merge the two rings- I'm so difficult!!

I think you have narrowed it down to two gorgeous choices, so whichever one you pick will be beautiful on you.

Hi Kaili,
Nice name!
The side profile is exactly like the round endless love setting.  The only difference is that the octagon setting has more pave diamonds on the underside of the basket as well.

Okay, the second ring is so much like your first in regards to the prongs, that it makes more sense if you'd like a new setting with more bling, to go with the first ring. If you like #2, than have LM rework your ring to add some diamonds on the band.

Honestly, I don't like #3 and especially don't like it from the side view!

my goodness - they are all so pretty! Tomorrow we (Todd, aka Cowboy Ricardo and me) are going to see all three in person. I've tried on the round endless love with bezel and the crown w/o bezel and they are beautiful.

This is going to be a difficult decision. What a wonderful problem to have...

Hi Kayla! I've been real busy I am slowly gaining more and more of my life back, hence I can spend some time here again. I've missed everyone and it's great to see so many new posters here!

The house is nearly done and we will be moving by the end of the month, thank you so much for asking. I am in serious denial right now, I should be packing or doing something productive, but I find spending time here is much more fun than the work I should be doing. With the construction part behind us and focus on the finish work, my head seems to be in the clouds as I am thinking of decorating, landscaping and closetmaids. Anyway I seem to function more efficiently under pressure.

I like MC's idea to rework your original ring. May drive LM crazy, but I'll bet something can be done. I can't believe you'd give up those beautiful claw prongs. If price isn't an issue, that's one thing, but I'd bet modifying your band would cost way less than a Ritani. They are almost as much as the DVatche settings (I believe they're brothers). Have you thought about more bling to your band instead? Do you ever wear it as a set? I'm sorry Kayla, I don't recall ever seeing it as a set.

Whatever makes you happy in the end, but regardless of our opinions, I think that the most important question is what do *you* prefer? Good luck with your decision & let us know the outcome.

Well, you really can't go wrong with either of these.

But I like #2 (no bezel) better becasue I like it when the diamond is really showcased on its own. You have an incredible stone--let it "breathe" on its own.

Again, both are beautiful but I lean towards the classic #2 style myself.

PS the bezel withh make it look even bigger though... especially from a distance.

Hmm well having something like #2 with a more classic look of pave with a solitaire set stone..if you had that and added 1 or 2 matching pave rings on the sides...trust me..its BLING !!!! I love bling as much as the next gal but I don't know that I would LOVE the look of the bezels AND then wedding rings on each side. That may be a bit too much unless you are Elizabeth Taylor. Esp with your 2c stone, we're not talking a baby sparkle here!

I am pretty much a jeans gal (even if they are designer jeans ) and sometimes I think my rings look like they could be dime store fakes the way my clothes don't really match with the diamond diamond diamond look. So...something to keep in mind. I want a bigger stone definitely, but I don't think I'd add more diamonds onto the e-ring itself, though I do want another pave eternity band to complete my set, probably on an anniversary at some point later. So I love my set as it is, with the ideal 3rd ring in the future to complete it (of course and the upgrade of center stone later too). But I wouldn't add more stones onto my e-ring.

So you may want to go into some stores and try on the settings, with and without matching bands. See it on your hand and imagine it in your lifestyle. You may find that something like the octagon or round bezel plus eternity bands are too much for you. Then again, we get used to things quickly when they are on our hands, and that bezel style would give you more size and sparkle without having to trade in your stone...again!!

That said, the octagon bezel is a real stunner...

Good luck!!
