Diamonds of I3 clarity are considered good for industrial work, not jewelry. If your budget is fixed, then you may need to get smaller earrings for now. SI2 or fairly clean I1 is as low as I would go. Here are approx. 0.75ctw I SI2 set in yellow gold for $995 If size and budget are both issues, perhaps cz is the way to go.
