I have finally found the stone I think I'm going to buy from a local jeweler. It would be great to get some last minute input on whether or not the following diamond is a good deal... GIA, 2.1 carat, G SI1 (but looks like a VS2 with small inclusions only on the side) D61, T59 C35.4 degrees, P40.8 degrees Good symmetry and polish Comes up a 2.1 on HCA (very good) Price: $14k including platinum setting Any advice???

What about girdle and culet? Fluorescence? I ran the proportions on So it is not ideal cut but price sounds very good even in comparison with the internet prices. Pricescope |

The diamond has no culet and no flourescence. Girdle is medium to slightly thick. My main concern is the Finish ratings of "Good" polish and "Good" symmetry. While it appears pretty to my untrained eye, most stones I have looked at have been rated "Very good" for finish. Is this why the price is better than what I've seen on the net? |
