Here is the diamond I am considering: 1.01 ct oval cut SI1, E Depth- 62.6% Table- 56% Girdle- Thin to medium faceted Culet- None Polish- very good Symmetry- good The dimensions are 7.9 x 5.51 x 3.45 I have been told that it is a good looking stone with very little if any bowtie. The cash price is $4,329. All opinions are welcome. Thanks in advance

I love ovals, very classy and elegant and sparkle just as much as any other fancy shape when well cut. Up to a medium fluorescence will probably make no difference. It's generally not a bad thing, and can be a good thing. Mostly, it's a personal preference, and I'd only worry if it were very strong and made the stone look milky. That's actually very rare. Medium fluorescence should not have any negative impact on the stone. Wish I could help you more, but I know nothing about oval cuts... Hopefully someone more knowledgeable about them will chime in soon. quaeritur
