Hi! You need to ask for the sarin report on the diamond so that you can find out about the cut. The sarin report will give you the crown and pavilion angles. Is this a loose diamond or is it already set? Are you buying from a local jeweler, or are you buying online?

It's a loose cut diamond. We are buying it through mondera.com. Thanks.

Susanm, Mondera used to have very competitive prices and good return policy. They also have Sarin machine in house so you can ask to get crown and pavilion angles for you.

What worries me a bit about this particular stone is that it has 6.35-6.40 mm diameter. 1 carat ideal Tolkowsky cut has 6.45mm diameter i.e. this diamond is a little deep and has less spread. Probably it was done to get it into magic 1 carat range.

Try to get Sarin report and plug the results into Holloway Cut Adviser.
