What are the pros and cons of an open culet? My fiance is getting her ring re-sized and the jeweler seemed shocked that the diamond had an open culet. The stone scored very well on the HCA.

It depends how large is the culet. If it is small to medium and you do not see it as a noticeable hole in the diamond then no worries. Check the Pricescope |
