Found a princess that fits my needs with respect to size, color, etc, and the table and depth percentages seem to be on the money. Would like opinions on the crown and pavilion angles and percentages though. I don't know what the "best" range is for maximum brilliance and fire -- can anyone comment? Report: GIA Shape: Princess Carat: 1.23 Color: G Clarity: VS2 Depth: 72.8 Table: 71 Crown Angle: 46 Crown %: 13.9 Pavilion Angle: 38.6 Pavilion %: 57 Girdle: SL-TK Polish: Excellent Symmetry: Very Good Culet: None Fluorescence: No Measurements: 5.82-5.78X4.21 Length/Width: 1.01 Price: $6,750.00 |

My guess is this is a BEAUTIFUL stone, that it will have the right balance of fire and brilliance (perfect table size and AWESOME crown!). Looks like a winner to me! Do you have an ideal scope image?

Thanks Summer. So you're basically saying those angles/percentages are really good for a princess? I don't have any further info about the stone and I'm not sure I'd be able to get it... I'm also now researching Jubilee's since it looks like I can get hearts and arrows optics but still the desired square look. Any preference for you either way?

That looks like a beauty. I love the jubilee, but am not sure how truly square they look when set. It's a toss up. What's more important to you? This one does look like it has tons of potential!!! Great job!!!

The numbers you have are textbook for a beautiful stone. I would just want to see some optical reports to confirm or just call that baby in! They really don't get more perfect than this for the numbers! As for jubilees, I think they're gorgeous stones (I want one eventually), but I will always prefer princess cuts because I like how absolutely square they are and LOVE the look of the pavilion through the table. But, I do like the hearts and arrows look too. I guess my preference is for princess, followed by the new square cushion (like the Hope diamond) and the jubilee. They're all gorgeous stones though! The trick is finding the best of the best which I think you may have done with this princess! I'd take a look at it....
