I know it's hard to tell if fancies are any good by looking at specs alone, but this stone has a good return policy so I'm willing to take the risk. The online vendor said it's a beauty w/ very slight bowties.

GIA
8.95 x 6.10 x 3.60 mm
1.14ct
G
SI1
Depth - 59%
Table - 61%
Crown - 12%
Pavilion 43.5%
Girdle - Medium to Slightly Thick, faceted
Culet Pointed
Polish and Symmetry - very good

What do you think?

Okay, all the grades are 1A except for the table, which is a 1B. If it was 1% smaller it'd be a 1A.

Now for the price. How does $3000 sound to you? This comes in a used (which explains the price) Platinum ring w/ another carat of princess diamonds set on the sides.

What happened to the 1.75 pear you were considering? Did you buy it?

No, I looked at it in person and it just looked like a monster to me. It was much bigger than I expected.

Besides, I had found this one on the same day, and I think I prefer the setting much more than the other setting.
