I'm just beginning to look for a diamond and so far I've determined that I don't like the shape of most of today's traditional cuts. I really like the way that cushion-cut, old mine-cut, and even some European-cut diamonds look. But I'm having a hard time finding any of these. Do jewelers still make these today or do I have to go to a jeweler that specializes in antique and estate jewelry? If anyone can give me any advice on finding a cushion-cut diamond, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks so much for all of your help!

Hi Cushionsearcher,

Any vendor will be able to help with your search. There are plenty of this sort of diamonds listed in the trading networks.

I've actually checked out the websites for all of the vendors listed on the vendors page, and performed searches on their diamonds. Most vendors do not even allow you to search on a cushion shape. I was only able to fing one cushion cut diamond even close to the size that I'm looking for. Has anyone purchased a cushion-cut diamond? Do you have any advice to give me?

Thanks

There are many cushion diamonds available in the trading network. All the interenet vendors have an acces to it. It is not very popular shape and you're right you cannot find it on the websites but you can inquire via emails or phone.

Post your criteria here and I'll try to see what's available.

Thanks so much for your quick response and all of your help. I'm looking for a 1ct. (+/-) cushion-cut diamond, with G color or better and Sl1 clarity or better. Again, I'm just at the beginning of my search and am trying to research prices and find some places in the Northeast where I can actually take a look at some cushion-cut diamonds up close. Any info you can give me is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

These cushion diamonds are listed in the trading network. You can inquire about them from any internet dealer. I indicated prices you might expect to pay (give or take).
