Price aside, the depth of over 82% is quite overly deep. It is not uncommon for princess cuts to be cut this way, but if it was less deep you would have more diameter for the same weight... You would see what looks like a larger stone for no extra cost.

Hi Proposer, Nice ring. You might consider that the center stone is rather deep (depth=82.4%, 3A AGA class). It is not unusual for princess but it makes diamond look smaller. These princesses diamonds for example are less deep and thus have better spread. 0.99 G SI1 69.8% 77% GIA vtn-med no gd vg no 6.23-5.29x3.69 $3263 0.99 G SI1 71.1% 73% GIA t-stk no gd gd no 5.5*5.64*3.91 $3525 Also note these prices are for GIA graded diamonds. GIA report is considered to be stricter. Pricescope |

WOW thanks for the input guys. I really appreciate it. So the depth % is how visually "deep" the stone is, thus a shallower stone looks flatter/bigger? |

Correct, however all the proportions should be in balance to acheeve the otimal performance. Too shallow stone might not be as brilliant as optimally proportioned one. Check Pricescope |
